Polish Cultural Heritage video
Report from the mobility in Poland
Participants had an opportunity to experience cultural heritage of Poland focusing on the region where the host school was located. They made videos of places and events they participated in.
The aim of activities within this LTT was to allow students to finally edit their videos of their cultural and present them as the project final products. All work was done in English as the project language.
Day 1
Representatives of all partners showed presentations of architectural and natural heritage as results of local works after previous mobility. Rules of the mobility video contest were introduced and coordinators meeting held. Afterwards The Polish hosts made a presentation of Polish history and local heritage connected with workshop activities involving Polish music, dances and cuisine. The culinary workshop was prepared by the local housewives society, where participants had an opportunity to some Polish traditional dishes. The dances and music part was guided by a professional dance instructor and w winner of many national dance awards Mr Berkowicz.
Day 2
A visit to the outdoor museum “Karpacka Troja” (Carpathian Troy) in Trzcinica. Participants could experience real life situations of people living in the area in the bronze age and attend workshops presenting games of Slavic people of the times and workshops of creating arts of those times.
In the afternoon they visited the Hutzul horses stud in Regietow - the biggest stud of this horse breed in Europe – where they were presented the history of long lasting tradition of horse keeping in the Carpathians and participated in a horse carriages ride in traditional style.
Day 3
Participants visited the outdoor museum in Sanok where they admired original reconstructed buildings with their original equipment from the whole Subcarpathian area. They attended workshops of icons writing with an expert from the museum, learnt about daily life in an old manor house (transferred to the museum from Święcany – a village nearby the place where the host school is located) and enjoyed local traditional food examples.
Day 4
Participants visited the Wieliczka salt mine (UNESCO protected cultural site) and the old city of Kraków including the Wawel Castle and its Cathedral (guided trip).
Video editing activities (from the original plan) were moved to the following day as partners declared having come with final products ready for presentation.
Day 5
Participants made last edits of the video materials both the final products and the mobility videos for the video contest. Then they presented those contest videos and their final products afterwards.
The video contest was resolved by voting, LTT evaluation carried out and there was a coordinating meeting. The awards of the video contests and participation certificates were handed in to the winners.
